Classified ad fraud is one of the offences most frequently reported to the police. The fact that new variants continually arise shows that this is a lucrative business for scammers. The National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) highlights three typical variants that are still prevalent:

• TWINT account takeover (ATO).
• Two variants involving a supposed refund.
